On November 13, a ceremony took place of special cancellation of state indicia dedicated to eminent personalities of the Service of Official Secrets Protection of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation

The event was attended by Lieutenant General Yury Kuznetsov, the Head of the Main Personnel Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation; Major General Andrey Kolovanov, the Head of the 8th Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation; Major General Igor Shpyrnya, the Head of the Red Banner of the Orders of Zhukov and October Revolution Krasnodar Higher Military School named after Army General S.M. Shtemenko; and Artem Adibekov, the Director General of JSC Marka.

The participants of the event cancelled the indica that were put into postal circulation in 2023 in honor of eminent personalities of the Service of Official Secrets Protection of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation: a postage stamp for the 100th Birth Anniversary of Nikolai Storch and a stamped postcard dedicated to Semyon Sergeev.

Nikolai Storch (1923-2002) was the Chief of the 8th Department of the USSR Armed Forces General Staff (1972-1988), a Lieutenant General (1972). Nikolai Storch made a great personal contribution to the strengthening of the Service of Special Communications and Official Secrets Protection. With his assistance, departments determining the prospects for the Service development were established; training of graduates of the Service-specific Krasnodar Military School improved qualitatively; studies of officers in military academies and training of reserve officers were put in order; a lot of scientific and methodological work was under way. On March 21, 2023, the postage stamp was put into postal circulation in the quantity of 108 thousand items.

Semyon Sergeev (1915-1987) was a Major General, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. From 1959 to 1975, he headed the Red Banner of the Orders of Zhukov and October Revolution Krasnodar Higher Military School named after Army General S.M. Shtemenko. Owing to his initiative, the Krasnodar Military School became a higher military institution, which determined its further development for the period up to the present time. Sergeev was awarded the Order of the Red Star (1950), the Order of the Red Banner (1954), the Order of Lenin (1967), and the second Order of the Patriotic War, 1st class (1985) on the 40th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and medals. The stamped postcard was put into postal circulation on August 16, 2023, in the quantity of 1,400 items.

From now on, their significant contribution to the formation and development of the Service of Official Secrets Protection of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the history of military science will be inscribed in the history of philately of the Russian Federation.
