On October 18, a ceremony took place of special cancellation of postage stamps dedicated to Samara monuments in the Contemporary Art of Russia series

The event took place in the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery. The ceremony was attended by Alexander Khinstein, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications, a coordinator of the Historical Memory federal project of the United Russia Party; Zurab Tsereteli, the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, a People's Artist of the Russian Federation; and Nikolai Borovskoi, the First Secretary of the Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, a People's Artist of the Russian Federation

The Contemporary Art of Russia series has been implemented in cooperation with the Union of Artists of Russia since 2012. It is reflective of the artwork of contemporary authors who convey the atmosphere of new Russia, its uniqueness and dynamism, demonstrates the techniques and approaches in creating paintings and sculptural compositions peculiar to our era.

In 2023, on the initiative of the Historical Memory federal project of the United Russia Party, the stamps immortalized Samara monuments. At the event, postage stamps were presented that feature sculptures Uncle Styopa the Militiaman by Z. Tsereteli (2015); Buratino (Pinocchio) by S. Karslyan (2013); and monuments to Comrade Sukhov by K. Chernyavsky (2012) and to Yury Detochkin by I. Melnikov (2012).

The postage stamps were put into postal circulation in the quantity of 60 thousand items and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
