On September 28, a stamp dedicated to springboard diving was put into postal circulation in the Sports series

Types of sports are sports activities historically that took shape in the course of their development and were formed as independent components, for example, track and field athletics, football, basketball, swimming, etc. Currently, there are about 200 types of sports in the world.

Springboard diving is a water sport, which implies athletes diving into the water from various apparatuses: a tower (5-10 m) or a springboard (1-3 m). During the dive, they perform a number of acrobatic exercises (turns, screws, or spins).

Judges at competitions score both the quality of acrobatic elements in the flight and the cleanliness of the water entry; at synchronized diving competitions, they also evaluate the synchronous performance of elements by two competitors.

Combining different elements makes it possible to perform more than 60 diving variations from the springboard and more than 90 variations from the tower. Springboard diving is part of the programs of the World Aquatics Championships and of the Olympic Games.

The postage stamp features two athletes performing a synchronized dive.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg and Penza as well as a maxi-card.
