On September 2, a ceremony took place of special cancellation of a postage stamp dedicated to the 400th Anniversary of Lyubertsy of the Moscow Region

The event was attended by Vladimir Volkov, the Head of the Lyubertsy Urban District; Olga Plisova, a Deputy Director of the Federal Postal Service Authority of the Moscow Region, a branch of JSC Russian Post; and Vladimir Bushuev, the Director of the Foundation of Apostle Andrew the First-Called.

Lyubertsy was first mentioned in cadastres of 1623 under the name of Liberitsy, Nazarovo, on the Liberitsa River. A part of the village belonged to sexton Ivan Gryazev, the other part was in possession of clerk Fyodor Poroshin. The postage stamp shows the coat of arms of the city of Lyubertsy of the Moscow region. The face value of the postage stamp is 27 rubles; the Print Run is 120 thousand copies.

The postage stamps were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
