The event was attended by Andrey Fedorov, a State Secretary, a Deputy Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation; Nadezhda Pavlova, the President of the Russian Federation of the Gorodki sport; Alexander Kupriyanov, the Editor-in-Chief of the Vechernyaya Moskva newspaper; and Tatiana Danchenko, a Senior Coach of the Russian national team in artistic swimming, an Honored Coach of Russia, a Master of Sports of International Grade, a USSR Champion in artistic swimming, a European Junior Champion.
The postage stamps of the Sports series were put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain. The postage stamp provides an image of a player throwing out a Kolodets (Well) configuration. The face value of the postage stamp is 30 rubles, the Print Run is 88 thousand stamps. The design is by Artist Vladimir Beltyukov.
Traditionally, issues of the state valuable postal matter are timed to landmark historical events, or are dedicated to outstanding personalities, major backbone enterprises of the Russian economy, state-run and public organizations.
