On May 25, a postage stamp dedicated to the 10th Nevsky International Ecological Congress was put into postal circulation



The Nevsky International Ecological Congress has been held since 2008 in St. Petersburg; it serves as a discussion platform for representatives of public authorities, the business community, educational and research institutions, and public organizations engaged in improving the environmental performance of the economies of the CIS member countries.

The plenary sessions and thematic roundtables of the Congress afford ground for extensive discussions on the issues of strengthening the transboundary cooperation in the use of energy resources and environmental protection; the harmonization of ecological legislation of the CIS member states and the Council of Europe member states; exchange of information and experience regarding the implementation of successful strategies and programs to improve environmental safety of energy resources consumption, preservation of ecosystems, as well as mitigation of man-made environmental disasters and natural calamities due to climate change; etc.

The 10th Nevsky International Ecological Congress will take place on May 25-26, 2023, in St. Petersburg. The theme of the Congress this year is Ecology: a Right. Not a Privilege.

The postage stamp provides an image of the logo of the 10th Nevsky International Ecological Congress against a natural landscape.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and St. Petersburg.
