On May 15, an overprinted postal block dedicated to the Perm Territory and the 300th Anniversary of foundation of Perm was put into postal circulation in the Coats of Arms of Constituent Entities and Cities of the Russian Federation series



The State Emblem of the Perm Territory images a silver bear walking to the right on a scarlet (red) shield bearing a Gospel in a golden casing with an eight-pointed cross on its back. The Gospel is topped by a silver widened cross incurved at the tips. The shield is surmounted by a princely crown. The heraldic description of the coat of arms of Perm reads: "On a scarlet (red) field, a silver walking bear, carrying a golden Gospel on its back and accompanied by a silver widened cross at the head of the shield”.

The postage stamp provides an image of the coats of arms of the city of Perm; it is surcharged with the new face value of 100 rubles and overprinted with inscription “300 Years”; the margins of the postal block feature the State Emblem of the Perm Territory and a map of the Russian Federation.

In addition to the issue of the postal block, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and Perm.
