On April 18, a stamp dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Dynamo sports society was put into postal circulation

On April 18, 1923, the Dynamo Moscow proletarian sports society was established. The initiative to arrange the first organization of this kind in the country belonged to a group of service personnel of the headquarters of the OGPU troops of the Moscow district. The main goals of the organization were to create conditions for regular sports activities and improvement of the combat training of military personnel of security agencies, as well as the promotion of service-applied sports, healthy lifestyles and tourism.

In 1926, the famous Dynamo emblem designed by the Dynamo FC forward of the first string Alexander Borisov came into being: it was a white diamond with letter D enclosed in it. The first regional branches appeared in Penza and Ryazan, followed by those in Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov-on-Don.

From the first years of its existence, the Dynamo society paid great attention to the physical education of children. In 1934, the first groups of Young Dynamo Members were arranged, which gave way to outstanding sportsmen, such as Lev Yashin, Mikhail Voronin, Vitaly Davydov, Galina Gorokhova, Alexandra Zabelina, and Leonid Bartenev. Dynamo athletes won 2,861 Gold Medals at World and European championships; 363 Gold Medals at the Olympic Games; more than 9,000 top honors at national championships.

Presently, the Dynamo All-Russian Sports and Physical Culture Society unites 82 regional organizations, 15 numbered organizations, which incorporate 17 ministries and agencies, as well as 16 countries that are participants of the Dynamo international movement. The society proceeds to advance and to work actively in different directions: the development of mass and Youth sports, working with orphans and children from low-income families; the improvement of sports training of the personnel of law enforcement agencies and departments; the development of service-applied sports.

The postage stamp provides an image of the logo of celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Dynamo sports society.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg and Penza, as well as an illustrated envelope with postage stamps, two labels and a First Day Cover with a cancel for Moscow inside.
