The event was held in the frames of the opening of a new cultural site in the Pushkinsky District of the Moscow Region: art residence Russian Dacha. The ceremony was attended by Nikolai Borovskoi, the Chairman of the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, a People's Artist of the Russian Federation, academician and a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts; Yuri Timofeev, the President of the Shalyapin Center Interregional Public Organization; and Artem Adibekov, the Director General of JSC Marka.
The postage stamp provides a portrait of Fyodor Shalyapin; the margins of the block (in the form of a gramophone record) feature images of Mephistopheles, Boris Godunov and Basilio embodied by the artist on the opera stage, a theater curtain and an autograph.
The face value of the postal block is 150 rubles; the Print Run is 23 thousand blocks. The design is by artist Victor Khablovsky.
The postal block was put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
Traditionally, issues of the state valuable postal matter are timed to landmark historical events, or are dedicated to outstanding personalities, major backbone enterprises of the Russian economy, state and public organizations.
