JSC Marka announces an Open All-Russian Thematic Competition of drawing a postal stamp and an illustrated stamped envelope themed Happy Cosmonautics Day!
The competition for the design of sketches of a postage stamp and envelope Happy Cosmonautics Day! is a socially important project dedicated to the outstanding achievements of our country in the cosmic domain, the first human spaceflight, the first earth satellite launching, the first human spacewalk and other achievements of the national cosmonautics!
The goals and objectives of the competition are drawing of attention to the Cosmonautics Day; popularization of the Russian cosmonautics achievements; promotion of the peaceful space idea; popularization of the genre of the author's artistic miniature executed both in traditional “manual” techniques and with digital technologies; bringing new authors to the genre; artistic improvement of state valuable postal matter and increasing the interest for stamp and envelope collection.
To participate in the competition, a submitter of the application needs to design an interesting, bright, eye-catching sketch of a stamp or illustrated envelope dedicated to space in any of the techniques: painting, author’s or computer graphics, collage, and others.
Conditions for participation:
• participation in the competition is granted to citizens of the Russian Federation who are at least 18 years old;
• one and the same author can participate in all nominations;
• one author can submit a maximum of three (3) artworks per nomination;
• the participation is free of charge.
Online applications for participation in the postage stamp and envelope design contest are admitted until 23:59 (Moscow time) on February 28, 2023. Please, fill out the electronic application form at the bottom of the page.
The competition results will be announced on March 7, 2023. Agreements will be concluded with the winners of the competition and fees will be paid. The best works will be selected for issuance of a postage stamp and an illustrated stamped envelope.
