Voronezh is hosting the Path to Victory philatelic exhibition

On January 25, 2023, the Voronezh Regional Museum of Local Lore launched the Path to Victory philatelic exhibition, timed to the 80th Anniversary of Voronezh liberation from the Nazi invaders. The exhibition was arranged by the Voronezh branch of the Union of Philatelists of Russia in association with the Voronezh Regional Museum of Local Lore and joint-stock company Marka with support from the Department of Culture of the Voronezh Region.

The exhibition displays postage stamps, telegrams, envelopes, postcards, including those that passed the field post and dedicated to natives of Voronezh - Heroes of the Soviet Union, as well as contemporary issues of stamps of Russia dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition presents exhibits of Voronezh philatelists as well as collectors from Belarus and Armenia. Joint Stock Company Marka displays its thematic exhibit Path to Victory, which presents postage stamps, postcards, First Day Covers, booklets from the Path to Victory series, issued for the 75th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as other philatelic products.

On the opening day of the philatelic exhibition, a ceremony took place of cancellation of an envelope with a commemorative stamp, issued specifically for this significant event. A special postmark with a fixed date and an image of the Order of the Great Patriotic War was produced for the cancellation of the envelope.

The exhibition will last until April 17, 2023.
