On January 28, 2023, the Collectioner show room in Krasnoyarsk held a meeting of postcrossers, timed to the Men’s and Women’s international freestyle wrestling competitions Ivan Yarygin Cup. Purposefully for this event, JSC Marka issued an unstamped postcard and produced a souvenir postmark.
Special guests of the event were Lyubov Akulich, a sister of Ivan Yarygin, the Director of the Ivan Yarygin Museum in Krasnoyarsk; and Yury Avdeev, the Honorary President of the St. Petersburg Wrestling Federation and a member of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly. The participants had an opportunity to get a better insight into the life of great athlete Ivan Yarygin as well as the history and development of freestyle wrestling in Russia and co-sign commemorative postcards. Presented was a mini-exposition of stamped products themed Sport in Philately. Yury Avdeev who used to work out with Ivan Yarygin said: "It's good that people exchange postcards. This is especially important for young people, so that they could live active lives instead of 'hanging' in their phones."
The day before, on January 27, 2023, a commemorative ceremony of the postcard cancellation was held in the museum of the Ivan Yarygin Sports Palace. The ceremony was attended by Denis Petrovsky, the Krasnoyarsk Region Sports Minister; Natalia Yarygina, the First Vice-President of the Russian Wrestling Federation; and Alexander Karelin, a Hero of Russia, a Merited Master of Sport of the USSR, a three-time Olympic Champion and nine-time World Champion in wrestling.
