On January 26, four postage stamps dedicated to medals were put into postal circulation in the State Awards of the Russian Federation series




State awards of the Russian Federation are the highest form of encouraging nationals for transcendental merits to the Homeland defense, nation-building, economy, science, culture, Arts, upbringing, education, protection of citizens’ health, life and rights, charity activities and other achievements for the state.

The state awards are instituted and granted by the President of the Russian Federation.

The medal of the Parental Glory Order was instituted on September 7, 2010.

The medal of the Parental Glory Order is awarded to parents (or adoptive parents) who are raising, or have raised four or more children as citizens of the Russian Federation in accordance with the family law requirements.

Medal For Merit in Space Exploration was instituted on September 7, 2010.

Medal For Merit in Space Exploration is awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation and foreign nationals for merits in research, development and use of outer space, for a substantial contribution to the development of rocket and space technology and industry, for the implementation of international programs, as well as for other achievements in the field of space activities.

Medal For Merit in the Development of Nuclear Energy was instituted on March 16, 2015.

Medal For Merit in the Development of Nuclear Energy is awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation and foreign nationals for achievements in the field of research, development, and use of nuclear energy, for a major contribution in nuclear and radiation safety and security, personnel training, scientific and design activities, as well as for other achievements in the field of the development of nuclear energy.

Medal For the Development of Siberia and the Far East was instituted on August 29, 2022.

Medal For the Development of Siberia and the Far East is awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation and foreign nationals for achievements in the development of Siberia and the Far East in the field of state-building, economy, industrial production, construction activities; transport, energy and information and telecommunications infrastructure; agriculture, science, culture, art, education, healthcare and environmental protection.

The postage stamps provide images of medals Parental Glory, For Merit in Space Exploration, For Merit in the Development of Nuclear Energy, and For the Development of Siberia and the Far East.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamps, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow, St. Petersburg and Saratov.
