On December 5, a ceremony took place of cancellation of a postal block dedicated to the Samara Luka National Park

The event was attended by Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The postal block was issued in the framework of the joint release of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan. The diplomatic relations between Russia and Azerbaijan were established on April 4, 1992.

Azerbaijan is an important strategic partner of Russia. The principles of equality and good neighborliness, centuries-old traditions of friendship and mutual respect make the foundations of relations between the two countries. The development of interaction between the countries objectively contributes to strengthening the stability and security in the South Caucasus and the Caspian region.

The subject of the joint release is national nature parks.

The postal block of Russia provides images of the Samara Luka National Park, a fox as a symbol of the Park and a white-tailed eagle. The Print Run is 25 thousand blocks. The postage block of Azerbaijan features the Shirvan National Park.

On September 16, 2022, the postal block was put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
