On November 24, a ceremony took place of special cancellation of Contemporary Art of Russia postage stamps

The event was attended by Andrey Kovalchuk, the Chairman of the Union of Artists of Russia, a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, a People's Artist of the Russian Federation; and Nikolai Borovskoi, the Chairman of the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, a People's Artist of the Russian Federation, academician and a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts. The event was held in the Exhibition Hall of the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists of Russia on Begovaya Street within the framework of the meeting of the Presidium of the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists of Russia and the opening of the exhibitions of artists Vera Lagutenkova and Peter Groshev.

The Contemporary Art of Russia series of postage stamps presents the artwork of modern authors who convey the atmosphere of new Russia, its identity and dynamism, demonstrates the techniques and approaches to creating paintings and sculptural compositions that are peculiar to our times. During the event, cancelled were the postage stamps with paintings Midsummer (2010) by I. Glazunov, Portrait of USSR Air Forces Major N. Bazanov. Amderma village by A. Bazanov (2018), Courtyard in Kolomna by A. Fedulov (1994) and sculpture The Tale of Tsar Saltan by A. Rozhnikov (2016).

The stamps were put into postal circulation on June 30, 2022, in the quantity of 72 thousand items and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.
