Identified are the winners of the All-Russian Drawing Competition of a New Year postage stamp and greeting cards

The winner of the postage stamp drawing contest is Svetlana Chernykh from Moscow. Her drawing was selected by the jury and received the highest support in the additional online voting.


The best works in the Postcard category are paintings by Natalia Tropina from Volzhsky, the Volgograd Region (fig. 1), Tamara Polyakova from Yekaterinburg (fig. 2), Victoria Vatolina from Korolev, the Moscow Region (fig. 3), and Lubov Charsakay from Moscow (fig.4).

On the basis of the drawings of the competition winners, JSC Marka will produce a New Year postage stamp and unstamped postcards to go on sale in post offices and the Collectioner show room chain throughout the country.

The authors of all the works admitted to examination will receive electronic certificates of the contest participants, and the winners will receive contest diplomas and money payments.

The competition was held on August 22 through September 25 by JSC Marka with support from the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Union of Philatelists of Russia. The operator of the contest, authorized to accept and process the competition applications, is the ArtContract information and exhibition agency, www.artcontract.ru.

The jury consisted of professional artists, graphic artists and designers, members of the Union of Artists of Russia. In total, the organizers received 308 contest entries made in various techniques: graphic design, watercolor and oil painting, pencil drawing, etc.

The All-Russian drawing competition of a postal stamp and a greeting postcard for New Year and Christmas among professional and non-professional artists has already been held for 5 years.
