The A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications hosts the 13th scientific and practical seminar on the history of post, philately and deltiology

On October 10-11, 2022, the 13th scientific and practical seminar on the history of post, philately and deltiology is taking place in the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications in St. Petersburg. The theme of the seminar is A Journeys into history in letters, postcards and stamps. On these days, the Museum also hosts the Rossika-2022 international philatelic exhibition and the traditional autumn vernissage A Week of Postal Collections - 2022.

The seminar is attended by representatives of JSC Marka, JSC Russian Post, A.S. Popov CMC, the Postal Communications. Technique and Technology journal, the Union of Philatelists of Russia, the National Academy of Philately, the Institute of History of the St. Petersburg State University, students from Voronezh and St. Petersburg universities, representatives of the St. Petersburg Club of Postcard History Enthusiasts (SPbKLIO), collectors, researchers and art historians of the Russian Federation, as well as international delegations from the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus. In the course of the seminar, reports were heard from experts and a collection of methodological materials containing over 50 articles in the realm of the history of post was presented.

From October 10 to 16, the traditional philatelic exhibition St. Petersburg Vernissage. A Week of Postal Collections - 2022, timed to coincide with the International Letter Week, is taking place in the frame of the seminar. The exposition allows one to get acquainted with unique collections of famous and novice philatelists and deltiologists from St. Petersburg, different regions of the Russian Federation, Belarus and even China, dedicated to the history, culture and communications.
