On October 7, a stamp dedicated to the World Post Day was put into postal circulation

The World Post Day is celebrated annually on October 9 on the Anniversary of the Universal Postal Union, which was founded in 1874 in Berne. The objective of the World Post Day is to promote the role of the postal sector in the daily lives of people and companies and its contribution to the social and economic development of the country.

Every year, more than 150 countries around the world hold various events devoted to the World Post Day. In some countries, the World Post Day is a day off. Many postal agencies take the opportunity to introduce or promote new postal products and services, as well as hold ceremonies of awarding distinguished employees.

Many countries hold philatelic exhibitions and issue new stamps and their special cancellations. Open days, conferences, seminars and workshops are organized at post offices, centers and museums; as well as cultural, sporting and other recreational activities.

The postage stamp was designed by the Universal Postal Union.

In addition to the issue of the postage stamp, JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and St. Petersburg.
