On September 21, an official ceremony took place of cancellation of a stamp dedicated to the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation

The event was held as part of the celebration of the 220th Anniversary of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. The ceremony was attended by Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation; Yuri Chaika, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North Caucasian Federal District; and Konstantin Chuichenko, the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation.

The Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation is a federal body of executive power responsible for the development of state policy (state administration) and statutory regulation in the field of justice, as well as coordination of the activities of other executive authorities in this field.

The postage stamp is issued in the framework of producing 5 stamps dedicated to ministries of the Russian Federation. The postage stamp provides an image of the emblem of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation with indication of the year of its foundation. The Print Run is 48 thousand stamps.

Today, the postage stamp was put into postal circulation and went on sale in post offices throughout the country and the Collectioner show room chain.

Traditionally, issues of the state valuable postage matter of the Russian Federation are timed to landmark historical events, or are dedicated to outstanding personalities, nation-wide projects and major backbone enterprises of the Russian economy.
