The Art of a Stamp exhibition opened in Lobnya of the Moscow Region

On September 6, the Art of a Stamp exhibition opened in the V. Korobkov Art Gallery in the city of Lobnya of the Moscow Region. The event was participated by Natalia Turta, the Chief of the Social Policy Department of the Lobnya Urban District Administration; Konstantin Buiko, a member of the Union of Artists of the Moscow Region and the Creative Union of Decorative and Applied Arts, the Director of the V. Korobkov Art Gallery in Lobnya; and Olga Savina, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, the Deputy Director General and the Editor-in-Chief of joint-stock company Marka.

The Art of a Stamp exhibition is a unique joint project of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Branch of the Union of Russia, the Moscow Union of Artists and JSC Marka; it is a combined exhibition of painting, graphic works and postal miniature. JSC Marka has been producing state valuable postal matter of the Russian Federation for over 160 years. The collection of postal stamps, postcards, envelopes and souvenir gifts is annually replenished with new issues dedicated to historical events in Russia, monuments of the world cultural and natural heritage, architectural attractions of cities, museums, and outstanding artistic personalities of the country.

In the frame of the exhibition, there is a possibility to see paintings by the members of Russian artists’ associations, whose artworks were pictured on postal miniatures: People’s Artists of the Russian Federation N. Borovskoi, V. Glukhov, E. Romashko, and A. Teslik. The exposition also offers artistic works by Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts N. Gorsky-Chernyshev, Honored Artist of the RF P. Groshev, and others. Besides, a part of the exhibition area is provided to paintings by the leading artists of joint-stock company Marka, members of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts A. Adibekov, S. Ulyanovsky, O Savina, and others.
