A competition for artists to design a New Year postal stamp and postcards is launched

JSC Marka with the assistance of the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Union of Philatelists of Russia announce the annual All-Russian competition for drawing a New Year postal stamp and postcards. The organizers will appreciate participation in the competition of citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 and older: professional painters and designers, students and graduates of creative universities, and non-professional artists.

The goals and objectives of the competition are increasing the interest for stamp collection; popularization of the genre of the author's artistic miniature executed both in traditional “manual” techniques (author’s graphic works, limited edition graphics, collage, etc.) and with digital technologies; extending the tradition of the author’s artistic stamp and artistic improvement of state valuable postal matter; as well as bringing new authors to the genre. To participate in the competition, a submitter of the application needs to design an interesting, bright, eye-catching sketch of a stamp or postcard dedicated to the New Year in any of the techniques: painting, author’s or computer graphics, collage, and others.

Online applications for the postage stamp and postcard design contest are admitted until 23:59 (Moscow time) on September 25, 2022, on the website of information and exhibition agency ArtContract: artcontract.ru.

The competition results will be announced on September 30, 2022. Agreements will be concluded with the winners of the competition and fees will be paid. The best works will be selected for issuance of a New Year postal stamp and five greeting cards. Audience online open voting will be held from September 26 to November 30, 2022, with the Audience Choice Award presented to the winner.
