On July 16, the Art of a Stamp exhibition opened in the State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum of Uglich.
The exhibition is timed to the 130th Anniversary of the Museum. Part of the exposition is rendered to paintings and state valuable postal matter dedicated to the Yaroslavl Region, as well as postal miniatures devoted to the cultural heritage and architectural monuments of Russia, painters and cultural figures and to decorative and applied arts. The artistic part of the exhibition is represented by paintings by People’s Artists of the RF N.I. Borovskoy, V.A. Glukhov, E.V. Romashko A.I Teslik, Honored Artist of the RF A.I. Dubov. The exposition also offers artistic works by Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts N.A. Gorsky-Chernyshev, Honored Artist of the RF P.I. Groshev, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts A.V. Adibekov, and paintings by leading artists of JSC Marka, members of the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists of Russia O.N. Savina and S.A. Ulyanovsky.
In the frame of the formal opening of the Art of a Stamp exhibition, a cancellation ceremony took place of a special postcard issued for the 130th Anniversary of the Uglich State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum. The event was attended by M.V. Borovitsky, the Chairman of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma; A.G. Kuritsyn, the Head of the Uglich Municipal District; and N.V. Chvanova, the Museum Director.
The exhibition will hold until August 7, 2022.
