On May 25, an official ceremony took place of special cancellation of a stamped postcard with letter “B” dedicated to the 100th Birth Anniversary of circus performer Vladimir Doveyko, People's Artist of the USSR

The event was attended by Tatiana Bushkova, the First Deputy Director General of the Russian State Circus Company; Artem Adibekov, the Director General of JSC Marka; Nikolay Pavlenko, People's Artist of Russia, a laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation; Vladimir Doveyko Jr., People's Artist of Russia; and Yury Khalyavin, the Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of the Russian State Circus Company.

Vladimir Doveyko (1922-2002) was a Soviet and Russian circus artist, acrobat, actor, an Honored Artist of the RSFSR, a People's Artist of the RSFSR and the USSR. In 1946, in the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard he staged a Springboard Tumblers group circus show, where he himself was a soloist; he performed with this act for several decades in circus arenas of the Soviet Union and many countries of the world. Vladimir Doveyko was granted numerous state and public awards.

The postcard provides a portrait of the circus artist against the background of the performance of his acrobatic group in the circus arena. The print run of the stamped postcard is 1,600 copies.
