On October 27, stamp booklet History of Russian Tank Building went into postal circulation

Tank building in Russia dates its history back to 1920–1921, when first Russian tank models were designed at the Krasnoye Sormovo plant in Nizhniy Novgorod on the basis of the captured Renault French tank.

In the early 1930s, the principal design centers of the Soviet tank building industry were established in Moscow, Leningrad and Kharkov. During the Great Patriotic War, the main objective was to provide the Army with light caterpillar, wheel-caterpillar, medium and heavy cruiser tanks. In the post-war period, new models were under development featuring more powerful armament, reliable protection and enhanced maneuvering.

Nowadays, tank formations remain the main striking force of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The stamp booklet contains 8 postage stamps of 2020-2021 featuring Russian tanks.
