JSC Marka took part in the XII scientific and practical seminar on the history of mail, philately and deltiology

On October 8-9, 2021, the A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communications hosted the XII Scientific and Practical Seminar on the history of mail, philately and deltiology. The theme of the seminar was the preservation of the cultural heritage and historical unity of Russia on postage stamps and postcards in museums and private collections.

Among the participants in the Seminar, there were leaders and experts of JSC Marka, JSC Russian Post, A.S. Popov CMC, the Postal Communications. Technique and Technology Journal, the Union of Philatelists of Russia, the National Academy of Philately, the Institute of History of the St. Petersburg State University, the State Russian Museum, the Peterhof State Museum, students of the Russian State University for the Humanities, as well as collectors and researchers. In the course of the seminar, the participants listened to the reports of experts and became acquainted with a collection of guidance materials containing over 30 articles of different topics. Artyom Adibekov, the Director General of JSC Marka, and the staff of the company were awarded diplomas for participation in the preparation of methodological materials for the collection.

As part of the seminar, traditional philatelic exhibition Petersburg Vernissage. Week of Postal Collections - 2021, was held, which was timed to the International Letter Writing Week. JSC Marka acquainted the participants and visitors of the workshop with two thematic exhibits, Fine Art of Russia and Treasures of Russia. Besides, the exhibition displayed collections of philatelists and deltiologists from different regions of the country, dedicated to the history and culture of Russia.
