The Art of a Stamp exhibition opened in the Tver City Museum and Exhibition Center.

The Art of a Stamp exhibition project in Tver is being held in the Center, which is a leading exhibition venue for residents and guests of the Tver Region, a favorite place for leisure activities. Alongside exhibitions, the venues of the Center arrange excursions, meet-the-artist events, lectures, art evening parties, as well as interactive, thematic and concert programs.

The Art of a Stamp exhibition is a unique joint project of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Branch of the Union of Artists of Russia, the Moscow Union of Artists and JSC Marka; it is a combined exhibition of painting, graphic works and postal miniature.

The Marka Publishing House has been engaged in the issuance of state valuable postal matter of Russia for more than 160 years. Every year, the collection of postage stamps, postcards, envelopes and souvenir products is enriched with new items dedicated to historical events of Russia, monuments of the world cultural and natural heritage, architectural attractions of cities, museums, and outstanding artistic personalities of the country.

Starting with 2012, JSC Marka in cooperation with the Union of Artists of Russia has been publishing a Contemporary Art of Russia series of postal stamps with images of paintings and sculptural compositions of contemporary leading artists of our country.

The exhibition provides an opportunity to see graphic works and paintings by members of artistic associations, whose works were featured on postal miniatures: People’s Artists of the RF A. Teslik, V. Glukhov, E. Romashko, as well as paintings by leading artists of the Marka Publishing House: A. Adibekov, S. Ulyanovsky, O. Savina and others.

The exhibition will extend from September 3 through September 26, 2021, at the address: 54 Sovetskaya Str., lecture and exhibition hall, Tver.
Working hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 11:00 – 20:00; Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 – 18:00; Monday and Tuesday - days off.
