The event was held in the Kazan Kremlin in the framework of the opening of the Artistic Endeavor for the Sake of Life exhibition by Sergey Shoigu, the President of the Russian Geographical Society. The cancellation ceremony was attended by Nikolay Kasimov, the First Vice-President of the Russian Geographical Society, and Irada Ayupova, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The postcard features one of the paintings by Sergei Shoigu, which is displayed in the exhibition. The card print run is 3,500 copies. Cards with commemorative cancels can be purchased in the Collectioner show room at the address: 29/11 Bauman Str., Kazan.
The Artistic Endeavor for the Sake of Life exhibition displays more than 100 works of art: paintings and decorative wood products. It is intended to sell a part of the exhibits at auction next year, and to use the earnings for help to seriously ill children. The guests of the exhibition will also be able to visit the open lecture hall of the Russian Geographical Society and film representations of thematic documentaries. The exhibition will be held from August 21 to September 12, 2021, in the National Art Gallery Khazine in Kazan.
The exhibition opening ceremony was also attended by R. Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan; R. Nurgaleeva, the Director of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan; S. Korlykhanov, the Director of the Regional Development Department of the RGS; D. A. Schiller, the Chairman of the Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan; T. Volosatova, the Director of the Kaliningrad Branch of the State Tretyakov Gallery; experts of Applied and Decorative Arts; representatives of the RGS and others.
