On July 7, an official ceremony took place of special cancellation of a stamped envelope dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the National Medical Research Center of Rehabilitation and Balneology

The event was attended by Evgeniy Kamkin, the Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation; Anatoly Fesiun, an Acting Director of the National Medical Research Center for Rehabilitation and Balneology; Ekaterina Karaulina, the Director of the Department of organization of medical care and health resorts of the Russian Ministry of Health; and MD, Professor Natalia Sanina, a member of the State Duma of the 7th convocation, a member of the United Russia faction, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, an Honored Doctor of Medicine.

Federal State Budgetary Institution the National Medical Research Center of Rehabilitation and Balneology of the Russian Ministry of Health was founded in 1921 and it is the oldest research institute in the field of sanatorium-and-spa treatment and medical rehabilitation. Today, the Center comprises scientific units in a number of areas: clinical, biomedical and psychological problems of medical rehabilitation, balneology and physiotherapy, reflexology and traditional methods of treatment. The Center serves as the leading organization in Russia for medical rehabilitation and balneology.

The postal envelope provides images of the official logo of the National Medical Research Center of Rehabilitation and Balneology and Lake Kidelyu in the Republic of Altai. The print run is 1 million copies.
