The event was attended by People's Artist of the Russian Federation Askold Zapashny, the Art Director of the Great Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue; Folk Artists of the RSFSR Anatoly Marchevsky and Victor Shemshur; Folk Artists of the Russian Federation Edgard Zapashny and Vitaly Vorobyov; and young circus actresses Emilia Azizova and Veronika Lokhmatova.
The Great Moscow State Circus is the largest in Europe. At all times, circus was the most affordable and folk art form, understandable for any person, well-known and well-loved around the world. The team of the Great Moscow Circus traditionally prepares currently topical, interesting and high-quality performances, plays and shows. Each season the Circus presents a new program, and in December, it stages a special New Year performance. Among the shows of the Circus, there are programs Today there is a festival in the circus, Ballad about stout hearts, Moscow meets friends, Russian winter, Space takeoff and others. Throughout its existence, the Circus presented more than a hundred programs.
The Print Run of the postal block is 27 thousand items. The postal block features the building of the Great Moscow State Circus, the artists performing in different circus genres and animals. In addition to the issuance of the postal block, the JSC Marka produced First Day Covers and a special cancel for Moscow. Also issued is an illustrated envelope with the postal block and a label inside.
