The Art of a Stamp exhibition has been opened in the Patriot park

From May 4, the Art of a Stamp exhibition dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 is being held in the exhibition complex of the Patriot Park (in Odintsovo District of the Moscow Region). The exhibition project combines a philatelic exposition with fine art paintings of artists, the authors of the postal miniature.

Visitors to the park will have an opportunity to see a philatelic exhibit, which incorporates all the issues of the state valuable postal matter themed to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Over the course of 4 years, from 2016 to 2020, 22 postage stamps of the Way to Victory series, 40 envelopes with a commemorative stamp devoted to key events and outstanding personalities of the Second World War and a postal block with the image of the Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces in the Patriot Park were put into postal circulation. All the issued stamps are included into illustrated artistic album Way to Victory.

The objectives of the program are the preservation of the historical heritage of Russia and the protection of the historical veracity of the results of the Second World War, rising the level of public spirit and upbringing the younger generation on heroic examples in the history of this country.
The Art of a Stamp exhibition is a unique joint project of the Russian Academy of Arts, Union of Russian Artists, Moscow department of the Union of Russian Artists, Moscow Union of Artists and JSC Marka; it is a combined exhibition of painting, graphic works and postal miniature.
