On April 12, the Yuri Gagarin is a Legend of Space exhibition dedicated to the 60th Anniversary of the first manned spaceflight opened in the Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin. The exposition was opened by Sergey Nechaev, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Germany, Pavel Izvolskiy, the Head of the Russian House of Science and Culture, and Reinhold Evald, German Astronaut.
Along with photographs, historical documents, books and journals, the exhibition presented philatelic display items produced by Joint-Stock Company Marka. The show-pieces comprised collections of stamps devoted to space and important space discoveries, scientists and cosmonauts.
The philatelic display item from Russia aroused much interest and was favorably received by the visitors of the exhibition.
