On December 2, an official ceremony took place of special cancellation of a stamped postcard dedicated to the International Numismatic Club Museum

The event was attended by Oleg Dukhovnitsky, the Head of the Federal Communications Agency, and Vagit Alekperov, the founder of the International Numismatic Club Museum, the President of PJSC Lukoil.

The museum was opened on October 7, 2015; it is housed in a beautiful historical building of the Zinoviev-Yusupov Chambers built in the 17th century. The main goals of the museum are to promote the development and popularization of numismatics; to give a new impetus to the development of interest to national and world history; to contribute to the development of private museums. A stamped postcard with indicium "B" was put into postal circulation in the quantity of 3 thousand items; it provides an image of the logo of the International Numismatic Club Museum and a watercolor drawing of the building of the Zinoviev-Yusupov Chambers.

As was stated by the Head of Rossvyaz, numismatics and philately are closely related fields of collecting, which attract conscious and intellectual people. It is very pleasant that issuance of a postcard would combine the hobbies of both numismatists and philatelists. “I am sure that the postcard will become a unique piece, a philatelic rarity among collectors around the world and will forever preserve the memory of today’s event,” he added.
