On October 5, an official ceremony took place of cancellation of an artistic stamp dedicated to the Podolsk Cadets film

The ceremony was held in the framework of premier events of the Podolsk Cadets film presentation in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 in Moscow on Poklonnaya Hill. The event was attended by Oleg Dukhovnitsky, the Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Igor Ugolnikov, the Director General of the VoenFilm studio, producer and co-author of the script for the Podolsk Cadets film; Vadim Zadorozhny, the Director of the Vadim Zadorozhny’s Vehicle Museum, the Podolsk Cadets film producer; and Alexander Shkolnik, the Director of the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War.

In their philatelic activity, the Federal Communications Agency and JSC Marka pay special attention to the patriotic education and the support of socially meaningful projects; for this reason, a unique series of stamps dedicated to modern Russian cinematography was launched.

The Head of Rossvyaz said that this year, an artistic stamp is put into postal circulation in the quantity of 154 thousand stamps, which provides an image of a Podolsk Cadets movie still. War drama Podolsk Cadets is a film about a real feat of just young men, cadets of the Podolsk artillery and infantry schools who bond over great courage, honor, sense of duty and fortitude that drove them to perform a feat in the name of their people and Motherland. “I am sure that the postal stamp will become a unique piece, a philatelic rarity among collectors around the world and will forever preserve the memory of today’s event,” he added.

Brsides, the stamp dedicated to the Podolsk Cadets film is a high-tech and unique product in the philatelic world. It makes use of augmented reality technology. Aiming a smartphone at the stamp will show the official trailer for the movie via a special mobile application.
