The Army Field Forces are one of the three branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, intended for warfighting mainly on the ground with the aim of ensuring the defense and security of the country. It is the most numerous branch of the RF Armed Forces in terms of the field strength. It incorporates mechanized infantry, armored force, missile and artillery troops, air defense troops and combat support branch. On October 1, the Day of the Army Field Forces of Russia is celebrated in compliance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
The commemorative stamp provides images of warriors of different times; the main illustration features the emblem of the Army Field Forces of the Russian Federation.
In addition to the issue of the postcard with a commemorative stamp, JSC Marka will produce special cancels for Moscow and St. Petersburg.
