On August 9, a ceremony of cancellation of a commemorative postal stamp dedicated to the Fall of Babylon XXV International Bike Show was held in Sevastopol

The ceremony was attended by Oleg Dukhovnitskii, the Head of the Federal Communications Agency, Mikhail Razvozhaev, the Vice-Governor of Sevastopol and Alexander Zaldostanov (aka Khirurg), the President of the Night Wolves All-Russian motorcycle club.

The International Bike Show is the largest annual event in the Russian motorcycle world. It is held by the Night Wolves motorcycle club under the guidance of the chief biker of Russia, Alexander Zaldostanov. It is an unforgettable large-scale trickery, pyrotechnic and musical performance: remarkable pieces of scenery, flying motorcycles and incredible risky tricks, dozens of moving objects from different eras and of various designations. Thousands of motorcyclists arrive to Sevastopol every year. This year the bike show is devoted to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The Head of Rossvyaz said that every year the Federal Communications Agency and JSC Marka produce various philatelic products dedicated to major social events. Bike shows were celebrated by issuance of pre-stamped envelopes and postcards in 2014 and 2015. This year, a postal stamp is issued in the quantity of 117 thousand stamps, which provide an image of the motorcycle club symbols and the show name. “I am sure that the postal stamp will become a unique piece, a philatelic rarity among collectors around the world and will forever preserve the memory of today’s event,” he added.
