On May 27, a postal block devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Tatarstan was put into postal circulation



May 2020 marks a Centenary of the formation of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Republic was established on May 27, 1920, as the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic; since 1992, the Republic of Tatarstan has its current name.

The Republic is a component part of the Volga Federal District. Its area is 67.8 thousand square km The population is 3.86 million people (2017). The capital of the Republic is Kazan. Today, Tatarstan is an economically developed and culturally rich region.

The postal block provides an image of the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan, a national ornament, attractions of the Republic and achievements of the region in the agricultural, oil producing and engineering industries.

In addition to the issuance of the postal block, JSC Marka will produce First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and Kazan.
