On May 22, a postal stamp dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of the United Nations Organization was put into postal circulation



The United Nations Organization is an international organization that aims to maintain and enforce international peace and security, develop cooperation among states. Established in 1945, the UN currently has 193 member states. The USSR was one of the founding countries of the organization and its member since the establishment of the UN.

The official languages of the UN and its organizations are English, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, French and Spanish. The UN headquarters is located in New York.

The postal stamp provides an image of the Let Us Beat Swords into Plowshares sculpture by E. Vuchetich in New York and a 75th Anniversary of the UNO emblem.

In addition to the issue of the postal stamp, JSC Marka will produce First Day Covers and special cancels for Moscow and St. Petersburg.
