On May 8, a postal block dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was put into postal circulation within a joint issue of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus

The Great Patriotic War (June 22, 1941 — May’9, 1945) was the war of the USSR against the forces of Nazi Germany and its allies (Hungary, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Finland, Croatia) that invaded the Soviet territory. It was the most significant part of World War II that culminated in the victory of the Soviet Union and the unconditional surrender of the German Armed Forces.

From time eternal, churches were raised in Russia in memory of Homeland defenders. The main temple of the Armed Forces of Russia built in honor of the Resurrection of Christ is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as feats of arms of Russian people in all the wars that fell on our country.

The margins of the block provide images of bas-reliefs with Soviet soldiers repeating the subjects of postal stamps of the Path to Victory series issued in the period of 2016–2020.

In addition to the issue of the postal block, JSC Marka will produce First Day Covers and special cancels for 51 post offices and an artistic folder.
