Allow me to extend my sincere congratulations on the Radio Day, a holiday for all those involved in different sectors of communication industry!
On May 7, 1895, at a meeting of the Russian Physicochemical Society, Russian scientist Alexander Popov demonstrated the world's first wireless transceiver radio system of his own design intended for the exchange of information signals.
Earlier this year, a postal stamp was issued for the 125
th anniversary of the invention of radio, which marked a new stage in the development of humankind and was the origin of a variety of discoveries in science and technology.
The contemporary information advancement of the communications industry results from the efforts of many generations of scientists, engineers, technicians, TV and radio broadcasting officers, post-office workers and communications operators.
