Art of Stamps exhibition opened in Vienna



On February 28, 2020, an Art of Stamps exhibition opened at the Russian Center for Science and Culture. The opening ceremony was attended by Oleg Dukhovnitskii, the Head of the Federal Communications Agency, Igor Nikitin, Chargé d'Affaires of Russia in Austria, and Dmitry Sokolov, the Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture.



The exhibition presents state valuable postal matter of the Russian Federation and paintings by the leading miniature artists of the Marka Publishing House. Authoring team: A. Adibekov, O. Savina, and S. Ulyanovsky.

A considerable part of the display is dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The Marka Publishing House issued a great number of valuable postal matter of patriotic themes. The collection includes a number of series of postal miniatures dedicated to major and significant battles, war heroes, military equipment and weapons.

The exhibition also presents unique souvenir products manufactured by JSC Marka, dedicated to the cultural and historical events of Russia, world cultural heritage landmarks, museums, painters and their artworks.



The head of the Rossvyaz stressed that "the exhibition is an important event in the field of philately; besides, it contributes to the advancement of the Russian art of stamps around the world".
