The event was attended by Anton Siluanov, the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, and Oleg Dukhovnitskii, the Head of the Federal Communications Agency.
The Federal Communications Agency and JSC Marka, in cooperation with the Gokhran of Russia, have been issuing a
Treasures of Russia series of postal stamps since 2017. The first issue of the state valuable postal matter was dedicated to the treasures of the Diamond Fund of the Russian Federation, the next one, in 2018, to jewelers, the issue of 2019 was devoted to the 300
th anniversary of the State Fund of Precious Metals and Gemstones of the Russian Federation. In 2020, the issue is devoted to the 100
th Anniversary of Gokhran of Russia. The postal stamps provide images of unique creations of Jeweller’s Art: a Bow-Sklavazh, a Grand Bouquet, a Bracelet with a portrait diamond and a Spinel of the Great Imperial Crown. Each plot is issued in the quantity of 99 thousand stamps.
“Owing to such issues of the state valuable postal matter, we draw the attention of Russian people and of international public to the historical, spiritual and cultural values of Russia. I am sure that these postal miniatures will make a unique gift not only for philately fanciers but also for all people and guests of Russia”, emphasized the Head of Rossvyaz.
