XXIX World Winter Universiade will be held from 2 to 12 March 2019. In total, within the framework of the 2019 Winter Universiade, 76 sets of awards will be awarded in 11 sports. The number of mandatory included eight sports: skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, ice hockey, short track, snowboard, figure skating, curling. Also offered are three optional disciplines: orienteering, freestyle and bandy.
Postage stamps of 2019 depict sports facilities: the Sopka Sports Complex, the Crystal Arena Ice Palace, the Yenisei Stadium, the Congress Hall of the Winter Universiade Village 2019, and the 2019 Universiade Logo.
In addition to the issue of postage stamps of JSC “Marka”, the first day envelopes were issued and special cancellation stamps were made for Moscow and Krasnoyarsk, and four maximum cards, a stereo-vario effect card and an art cover will be issued, inside — four stamps, vignettes, first day envelopes with cancellation for Krasnoyarsk.
