On November 19, a working meeting was held of Oleg Dukhovnitsky, the Head of the Federal Communications Agency, and Artyom Adibekov, the Director General of the JSC
Marka, with Norma Bertha Pensado Moreno, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico in the Russian Federation, and Edgar Rebollar Sáenz, the Politics Attaché of the Embassy of Mexico.
The participants discussed a possibility of the joint emission of stamps in 2020 to commemorate the 130
th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Mexico. The subject matter and the terms of the emission of postal stamps will be coordinated additionally with the releasing management of Mexico.
In 2015, stamps of Russia and Mexico devoted to architectural monuments were already issued in the frames of a joint emission. The stamps provided images of the Peter-and-Paul Fortress in St.-Petersburg and the Chapultepec Castle in Mexico City. The quantity of each subject was 200,000 copies.
