State Secretary-Deputy Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation Natalya Parshikova, Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency Vladimir Shelikhov, President of the Federation of Gorodki of Russia Alexander Stislavsky and Director of the State Sport Museum Elena Istyagina-Eliseeva took part in the event.
Gorodki is one of the sports that Russia can consider its national and folk one. The game is part of the national culture. The All-Russian Public Organization Federation of Gorodki Sports of Russia, which was established in 1993, unites the sports in Russia.
The main objectives of the Federation are to assist the development of gorodki, to promote the sports, to help in the comprehensive and harmonious development of the individual, and to form a healthy lifestyle.
