April, 20 an official cancellation ceremony was held of a postal card dedicated to the 100th anniversary of 236th Minsk Security and Logistic Regiment of the National Guard of the Russian Federation



The participants in the event were General-Lieutenant Igor Golloyev, Chief of the Central Regional Command of the National Guard of the Russian Federation; Vladimir Shelikhov, Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Colonel Nikolai Grigoryev, Expert Assistant to the Commander for Veterans Issues; and Sergei Malaniy, Commander of the 236th Minsk Security and Logistic Regiment of the National Guard of the Russian Federation.

From 1918 the regiment was involved in fighting political and criminal banditry in Moscow, protection of ammunition depots, convoy of prisoners. During the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945 the regiment administered the law at the places where the regiment was stationed, participated in the Battle of Stalingrad, liberation of Belarus and the Battle of Konigsberg, destroyed enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups, and formed destructive detachments behind enemy lines. At present the regiment staff ensure service and fighting activities of the Central Command Directorate of Russia’s National Guard, keeps watch over the military station, and deployment and support of an auxiliary command post.



“The Federal Communications Agency together with joint-stock company “Marka” are engaged in carrying out civic and patriotic education by annually releasing various philatelic products. Now a new postal card with a circulation of 2500 copies will enter philatelic collections,” said the Deputy Head of Rossvyaz.
