April 27, a postal card with a commemorative stamp dedicated to Anatoly Kisselyov (1938–2017), Director of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Centre is to be put into circulation as part of the “Space Exploration” series


Anatoly Ivanovich Kisselyov was Director of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Centre form 1975, Director General in 1993-2001. He was a Hero of Socialist Labour, Professor, Doctor of Engineering.

Anatoly Kisselyov supervised the design and production of the first elements for the International Space Station – Zarya and Zvezda; tests of heavy-class (Proton-M) and light-class (Rokot) launch vehicles; development and tests of the Briz-M and Briz-KM transfer orbit stages, Yakhtauniversal space platform, Angara launch vehicle, and the Telekomsvyaz network deployment.

For his significant merits in developing and testing the Buran space shuttle, Anatoly Kisselyov was granted the title of the Hero of Socialist Labour (1990).

The postcard with a commemorative stamp features a symbolic image of a launch vehicle starting into space; the main illustration depicts Anatoly Kisselyov’s portrait and the Proton-M launch vehicle.

In addition to the postcard with a commemorative stamp, JSC Marka is to produce a special cancellation postmark for Moscow.
