Anatoly Ivanovich Kisselyov was Director of the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Centre form 1975, Director General in 1993-2001. He was a Hero of Socialist Labour, Professor, Doctor of Engineering.
Anatoly Kisselyov supervised the design and production of the first elements for the International Space Station –
Zarya and
Zvezda; tests of heavy-class (Proton-M) and light-class (Rokot) launch vehicles; development and tests of the
Briz-M and
Briz-KM transfer orbit stages,
Yakhtauniversal space platform,
Angara launch vehicle, and the
Telekomsvyaz network deployment.
For his significant merits in developing and testing the Buran space shuttle, Anatoly Kisselyov was granted the title of the Hero of Socialist Labour (1990).
