February 24, the 7th Congress of the Union of Philatelists of Russia was held in Moscow



At the 7th ordinary Congress the UPR delegates heard the UPR President Alexander Ilyushin’s report and the Inspection Group report; they also discussed various issues related to the development of public philatelic movement in Russia.

In the course of the Congress Sergey Evtushenko was elected UPR President, Alexey Borodin and Vladimir Devyatov became UPR Vice-Presidents.

For his great contribution to the development of the national philately, the Congress delegates took an unanimous decision to award Alexander Ilyushin the title of the UPR Honorary President.

Vladimir Shelikhov, Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency joined the Congress to inform the participants about the activities carried out by Rossvyaz and JSC Marka in the area of production and distribution of state signs of postal payment.
