The design of the envelope features the fundamental documents in interconfessional, interethnic and civil relations. Among them are the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations General Assembly 70 years ago, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights signed 50 years ago, the Declaration on the Rights of Persons Belonging to National or Ethnic, Religious and Linguistic Minorities adopted 25 years ago, and the Federal Law of the Russian Federation on Freedom of Conscience and Religious Associations signed 20 years ago.
“The Federal Communications Agency and joint-stock company “Marka” give great attention to the subject of cultural and religious education of the public by releasing philatelic products. This envelope is an illustrative example of visualisation of the activities of the Russian Federation in the field of interconfessional and state and religious relations. The circulation of the envelope is 1 million copies. I am certain it will fly all over the world and will become a precious gift to Russia’s citizens and tourists”, said the Deputy Head of Rossvyaz.
