The presentation of the postage stamp dedicated to Evpaty Kolovrat was broadcasted live on Russia 1 channel



The participants in the event were Alexey Volin, Deputy Minister of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation; Vladimir Shelikhov, Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency and Dzhanik Fayziev, Director of “The Legend of Kolovrat” film.

The postage stamp depicts the monument to Evpaty Kolovrat by Oleg Sedov at the central square in Ryazan. The stamp was issued in the “Contemporary Art of Russia” series that features the works of modern artists who convey the atmosphere of modern Russia, its distinctness and dynamism, demonstrate approaches and techniques peculiar to the époque that are used for artistic painting and sculpture compositions.

“Postage stamps are the best way to preserve and disseminate our history all around the globe. The Federal Communications Agency together with JSC Marka each year release a large number of state signs of postal payment dedicated to main commemorative dates and events. The stamp with a circulation of 144 thousand copies featuring the monument to Evpaty Kolovrat will be available at all post offices of the country. The stamps These unique copies will be a good memory of today's event and become a philatelic rarity among collectors from all over the world,” said the Deputy Head of the Federal Communications Agency.

In addition to the stamp, JSC Marka has produced a FDC and a special cancellation mark for Moscow.
