December 7, a cancellation ceremony was held of a postage stamp dedicated to the Federal Treasury



The participants in the ceremony were Oleg Dukhovnitsky, Head of the Federal Communications Agency, and Roman Artyukhin, Head of the Federal Treasury.

The Federal Treasury was established by the Russian President’s decree in 1992. Today the Federal Treasury (Treasury of Russia) is a federal executive authority that carries out law enforcement functions to ensure the execution of the federal budget and cash service of the budgetary system of the Russian Federation, preliminary and ongoing control over operations with federal budget funds by main administrators and recipients of the federal budget. The Treasury has 83 departments and 2254 divisions and is supervised by the RF Ministry of Finance.

“To commemorate and promote the activities and history of the Federal Treasury, the Federal Communications Agency and JSC Marka have released this postage stamp with a circulation of 240 thousand copies. I am certain that the issue will be a precious gift for Russia’s citizens and guests. These unique copies will be a good memory of today's event and become a philatelic rarity among collectors from all over the world,” said the head of the Federal Communications Agency.



In addition to the postage stamp, JSC Marka has issued a FDC and a special cancellation postmark for Moscow.
